COVID-19: What You Need To Know

Please note, following the Prime Minister’s announcement on new restrictions on September 22nd, we have updated our FAQs section accordingly. This includes new details around the closing of our venues at 10pm, the wearing of face masks and the rule of 6. Please take a moment to familarise yourself with these updates.

We are making continuous adaptions to our daily operations to comply with Government guidelines and will continue to update this page with necessary information and changes to park operations as soon as we can. We would like to thank you for your continued patience, cooperation and understanding as we strive to make our environment safe and enjoyable for everyone.

We’re proud to have been awarded the ‘We’re Good To Go’ industry mark and Hoseasons’ ‘Safer Stays’ accreditation (for our Grange Leisure Park) which means that we are complying with and adhering to all Government guidance in relation to the Covid-19, including having carried out required risk assessments and put processes in place to maintain cleanliness and social distancing.

We have enhanced cleaning across our parks and facilities, with our state of the art Storm Sanitising Spray Applicator. It applies a sanitised protection barrier onto hard surfaces and fabrics, helping to keep our environment for guests and staff safe.

Please be aware that due to recent Government announcements our phonelines and email continue to be extremely busy at present and our teams are working hard to answer as many queries as we can. Please refer to the FAQs below for the best way to get in touch with us.

We are delighted to have been able to re-open all our parks on 4th July 2020.

  • We have amended our check in and check out procedures to allow us more time to safely clean and sanitise your accommodation. Our check in times are now slightly later than you may be used to. We also request that all accommodation is vacated by 9am on the day of departure
  • Our team will endeavour to contact you at least 24 hours prior to your arrival date to further explain our procedure, your actual check-in time and to address any concerns or questions you may have.
  • On arrival on park, Lead guest only to attend reception. Only 2 people in reception offices at any one time please. Clear directional signage will be in place.
  • Please maintain Social distancing measures if you are required to wait in any queue externally.
  • Please have your cleanliness deposit ready in cash to deposit in envelope provided at check in.

You will be advised of a number to contact  in the unlikely event of any issues or concerns but we ask that you do not return to reception.

Our swimming pool at Coastfields Holiday Village re-opened on Saturday 25th July. Please note the following changes to our operating procedures which are designed to keep people as safe as possible whilst providing access for as many people as possible. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation at these times.

  1. The pool will open 7 days a week from 9am until 4pm (last session start time).
  2. All sessions are strictly pre-bookable (not earlier than the day prior), will start on the hour and will last for 45 minutes.
  3. Booking priority will be given to Coastfields owners and fleet customers who have booked a holiday through Coastfields. Max one session per person per day.
  4. You will need to quote your caravan number, pass number and contact telephone number to book. We will retain this information for 21 days to satisfy NHS test and trace requirements.
  5. To book your session, please call Coastfields reception (01754 872592, option 4 option 1).
  6. There will be a maximum of 30 people per session.
  7. From 9am to 10am each day, the session will be reserved for people with disabilities and special needs only.
  8. We are unable to open our changing facilities, therefore bathers are advised to arrive for their session ‘beach ready’ and be prepared to leave the pool with wet gear.
  9. There is no entrance to the pool through reception. Please wait for your booked session at the rear entrance to the pool behind Ba Rumba. There are separate entry and exit doors
  10. Please be prepared to show your pass card on entry. STRICTLY NO ADMITTANCE UNLESS PRE-BOOKED
  11. The hot tub will be limited to a maximum of 6 people at any one time from a maximum of 2 separate households.
  12. The flume slide will not be available during these times.
  13. Cleaning and sanitisation will take place to communal areas and lockers before the start of each session.
  14. Please adhere to social distancing guidelines at all times and follow any instruction given by our trained lifeguards.

All of our Bars and food outlets will be open but we have had to make a few changes.

From September 24th, all our bars and food outlets will close at 10pm and will be restricted to table service only. Takeway service, where available, will continue as normal. 

Face coverings are now mandatory for staff and customers in our retail and indoor venues, except when seated at a table to eat or drink.

All our venues will also display a QR code, which we ask our guests to scan on arrival with their NHS Test & Trace App.

No more than 6 people are permitted to meet together in our venues, unless you all live together (or are in the same support bubble)

We’ve spaced our tables in accordance with government guidance and there will not be any standing areas for the time being. Once our seated areas are full we will not be able to allow further entry until a table becomes available. We have lots more seating outside most bars  for you to enjoy. Please pay by contactless card wherever possible (Cash still accepted)

Please be prepared to provide contact details for your party and help us to keep you safe by following one-way systems, signage and queuing instructions.

Remember that the restrictions on household gatherings and group sizes still apply within and outside our venues. Inside no more than six people from up to 2 different households should be in a group and outside not more than 6 people from different households. Social distancing must be maintained at all times

We have invested in high end sanitisation machines and staff will trained to use these throughout our opening hours in all venues

We are pleased to be able to provide indoor entertainment from Saturday 15th August, in conjunction with outdoor performances and kids workshops at our main parks and venues. Full details of our entertainment offer at all our venues can be found by clicking here.

At Coastfields Showbar, doors will be open from 5.30pm for Coastfields Owners and Holiday Guests only and from 6.00pm for all pass holders. Please note that once tables are all occupied no further entry will be allowed until a table becomes available and has been re-cleaned. Please observe social distancing at all times. Follow directional signage whilst ordering drinks from the bar. Customer seating only, strictly no standing room. Additional seating is also available in the Aqua Lounge.

Booking may be necessary for pantomimes (please check what’s on guide for further details.)

Our toilets and washrooms will be open with added cleaning to keep you safe. Cleaners will be on duty throughout the day and we have also invested in high end sanitisation machines with staff on duty throughout our opening hours in all venues.

Do not leave your accommodation other than to travel home. It is vital we help protect the health and wellbeing of all of our guests and staff, please pack up your belongings and return home immediately with all members of the party you travelled with. Contact our customer relations team on 01754 872592 (option 1) following your departure.

We are aiming to manage your booking in the way that suits you most and when you are ready. We’re offering all guests who have holidays during the close down period the option of:

Make your decision later. When you are ready, call or email us to book any time in the next 12 months. Plus, as a thank you, you will receive a £50** voucher to spend on park during your stay.

Email us with your choice of a new break at any of our parks for any date, valid for 12 months from the date you were due to arrive. Plus, as a thank you, you will receive a £50** voucher to spend on park during your stay.

  • If your chosen break is cheaper, we will refund the difference
  • If your chosen break is more expensive, you will need to pay the difference

It could take us up to 28 days to get back to you. As you can appreciate, we are experiencing a high number of enquiries and emails and of course we need to support our team members who we are also looking after at this time. Our goal is to prioritise immediate breaks coming up. We would, however, ask that only those travelling in the next 14 days call us at this time so that we can prioritise these bookings.

We hope you understand that this decision has been made in the interest of your wellbeing and that of our team. We look forward to reopening and for us all to enjoy our holidays again.

** Offer only applies to customers who have booked a holiday directly with Coastfields and not through any third party booking agent. Offer does not apply to touring caravan holidays.

Yes, bookings can be moved to a later date…. We understand that people may still be uneasy to travel and whilst we are doing everything to create a safe and enjoyable holiday environment respect that you may wish to move your booking.

To adhere to the governments track and trace policy, we need to be aware of who is on park at any given time. We therefore kindly ask that you complete this form as owners each and every time you come to stay on park.

We are collecting this data to support the NHS test and trace system. For further information about test and trace please visit https://www.gov.uk/guidance/nhs-test-and-trace-how-it-works , We will be holding the data for 21 days after which it will be destroyed. The data will not be used for any other purpose, including marketing. 

YES, this is extremely important. We recommend that you carry out the following steps for your safety

1. Open all windows to ventilate the caravan

2. Run all hot and cold water taps for at least 2 minutes. Don’t forget any outside taps (but remove any hosepipe first)

3. Close the toilet lid and flush the toilet twice

4. Place a plastic bag with one corner cut off around the shower head and then run the shower for 2 minutes. The plastic bag will prevent any unnecessary spray

5. We also recommend that you also de-scale your shower head

6. Run any washing machine and dishwasher through a full cycle before use.

7. De-scale your kettle

8. Check that your fire and carbon monoxide alarms are working correctly

 

We will be doing everything possible to keep you safe whilst on park, with enhanced cleaning regimes and investment in leading sanitisation equipment in use throughout all venues.

  • All indoor venues will be seated only and have clear signage in place. Furniture has been rearranged to ensure safe distancing and as capacity is reached, we ask for your patience until seating becomes available. Please do not amend furniture and seating layouts without staff permission. We will be taking contact details for anyone in your party to facilitate track and trace systems should they be needed.
  • Outdoor seating provision has been increased at most bars, again distanced for your safety.
  • Please help us to keep you safe by following directional signage and the advice of our team at all times.
  • We are encouraging the use of contactless cards wherever possible, although cash will of course still be accepted.

We ask that you only visit reception areas in person in an emergency. Most services including gas bottle delivery can be arranged by emailing customerrelations@coastfieldsleisureltd.co.uk or contacting them on 01754 872592. Option 1.

A maximum of 2 people will be allowed in reception at any one time. We understand that this may cause unavoidable delays, particularly at check-in times.

We require all owners who privately sub-let to confirm that their accommodation as a minimum will have been cleaned and sanitised in accordance with the procedures in the following link. You are also advised to have a risk assessment in place to protect your business.

We also require owners to complete our online sub-let registration form using this link. This will allow us to track and trace customers should it be needed and confirms that the unit has been Covid-19 cleaned. We are collecting this data to support the NHS test and trace system. Provided you have completed the registration form above, we will continue to offer a key handling service at Coastfields Holiday Village.

Our check in procedure has also been amended to safeguard customers and staff. We encourage you to inform your hirers that:

  • On arrival on park, Lead guest only to attend reception. Only 2 people in reception offices at any one time please. Clear directional signage will be in place.
  • Please maintain Social distancing measures if you are required to wait in any queue externally.
  • Please advise your hirers not to return to reception except in an absolute emergency. They must direct any concerns or questions to you.
  • Please ensure that your hirers do not travel to park if they suspect they or any of their party have any Covid-19 symptoms and also that they follow our guidance elsewhere on these pages in the event that they develop symptoms during their stay.

We will not be charging registration fees whilst the current restrictions remain in place for entertainment. From 25th July, passes will be included in welcome packs for swimming pool use only.
