Guide to the best golf courses in Lincolnshire
Golf. You either love it or hate it, right? If, like Mark Twain you think the golf is a ‘good walk spoiled’ then this blog post probably isn’t for you. If, however, you like nothing more than a round of golf on a fantastic course, either among mature trees or with stunning coastal views, then read on.
The county is home to dozens of top golf courses, many of which are only a short drive (excuse the golfing pun) from our Lincolnshire holiday parks. But, which ones should you try?
To help inspire you we’ve put together a guide to some of the region’s very best. Just don’t forget to bring your clubs!
We though we’d start with two of the county’s best. Woodhall Spa boasts two courses (Hotchkin and Bracken) which among the UK’s finest. Hotchkin, in particular, hosts multiple events including the 2017 Brabazon Trophy. Bracken is in its big brother’s shadow but is also a fantastic course and completely different to Hotchkin.

This picturesque parkland course is renowned for its lush fairways, mature trees and pure greens.

Well worth a visit, Waltham Windmill has improved massively over the years and is well-manicured parkland course that is a challenge for golfers of all abilities. Expect tricky water hazards and sand that will keep you on your toes…

A rather special links course near Ingoldmells, Seacroft is one of the only true links courses in the county. A real test and some great sea views.
Green fees: £50 midweek, £60 weekends. Tel: 01754 763020.
Head up to North Lincolnshire, near Scunthorpe, and play the magnificent Forest Pines. This course offers something slightly different with three loops of nine winding through a forest of trees.
