What is the Let Coastfields scheme?
Let Coastfields is the fully managed sub-letting service for Coastfields Holiday Home owners. It allows you to earn income by letting your caravan or lodge to holiday guests during the times you’re not using it. Coastfields manages the entire process for you, including marketing, bookings, guest communication, payments and cleaning, so you can enjoy a simple and stress-free ownership experience.
Who can join the Let Coastfields scheme?
Most Coastfields caravan and lodge owners can apply to join, provided their holiday home meets our quality and safety standards. Your caravan must be within our 10-year age limit, be clean and well maintained, and have up-to-date safety certificates and appropriate insurance that includes letting cover. We confirm eligibility during your initial enquiry.
How do I sign up for sub letting at Coastfields?
Joining the Let Coastfields scheme is straightforward. You can collect an information leaflet from Reception or Sales, or contact our Sub-Let Coordinator directly by emailing Letcoastfields@coastfields.co.uk. Once we receive your documents and completed forms, the process typically takes between two and seven days depending on how quickly paperwork is returned.
What documents do I need to provide?
To join the scheme, you will need a valid Gas Safety Certificate, a current Electric Safety Certificate, insurance that includes letting cover, and completed sign-up documentation. If you are missing any certificates, our team can advise you on how to arrange the required inspections and testing.
Do I need to be on park to join?
No, you do not need to be on park to join the sub letting scheme. The entire process can be completed remotely by phone and email, as long as the required documents are provided and you are happy for our Sub Let Coordinator to access your holiday home if necessary.
How much can I earn from sub letting my caravan?
Income from holiday home sub letting varies depending on factors such as caravan grade, park location, season and occupancy levels. During your sign-up conversation, we can provide realistic earning examples based on similar holiday homes on your park.
When and how are payments made?
Owner income is credited to your Owner Account at the end of each season. Your pitch fees for the following season are then deducted automatically from the balance. If there is still credit remaining after fees and any outstanding balances are settled, the remaining amount is paid directly to you. If there is a balance still due, we will contact you to discuss payment options.
Can I still use my caravan if I join the scheme?
Yes, you can still enjoy your caravan whenever you like. You simply need to reserve your personal holiday dates by contacting the Sub Let Coordinator or speaking to Reception, and we will block those dates from the booking system to ensure your caravan is available for you.
Who manages the bookings and guest enquiries?
All bookings are handled by the Coastfields team. We manage guest enquiries, payments, marketing, check-ins and ongoing support to ensure a smooth and professional experience for both owners and guests.
Who handles cleaning between guest stays?
Professional cleaning and linen changes are arranged by Coastfields after every guest departure. This ensures your holiday home is maintained to the required standard and ready for the next booking.
What happens if a guest damages my caravan?
We have clear guest policies in place to protect holiday home owners. If damage occurs during a stay, it is assessed by our team and may be charged to the guest or managed in line with the terms outlined in your sub letting agreement. Our maintenance team handles any issues promptly.
Will my caravan be advertised online?
Yes, your caravan or lodge will be featured on the Coastfields website and selected third-party booking platforms. Once your holiday home meets our required standards, we can also arrange professional photography to present it at its best.
Can I choose who stays in my caravan?
All bookings are managed solely by Coastfields to ensure fairness and consistency across the park. Owners are not able to select individual guests.
Do guests have access to park facilities?
Guests who book through Coastfields enjoy the same access to park facilities and entertainment as all holidaymakers staying on the park.
Is there a cost to join the Let Coastfields scheme?
There may be commission, cleaning or service charges depending on the number and type of bookings your holiday home receives. All costs are explained clearly during the sign-up process so you fully understand how the scheme works before joining.
Is sub letting allowed on all Coastfields parks?
Sub letting is permitted on most Coastfields parks, although availability and conditions can vary. Full details are set out in your Owner Licence Agreement, which is provided when you purchase your holiday home.
Can I remove my caravan from the scheme?
Yes, you can leave the scheme by giving notice in line with your sub letting agreement. Any confirmed bookings already in place would need to be honoured.
What support do owners receive?
You will have a dedicated Sub-Let Coordinator who supports you with documentation, listings, payments and any ongoing queries. Our aim is to make holiday home sub letting straightforward and fully managed from start to finish.
How do I get more information about Let Coastfields?
You can collect a leaflet from Reception, contact our Sub Let Coordinator by email, speak to the on-site team, or complete the enquiry form on our website. We are always happy to explain how the Let Coastfields scheme works and whether it is the right option for you.
