Questions and answers

• What size holiday homes do you sell?

We have various sizes available ranging from 28ftx10ft to 40ftx20ft. Location will depend on available pitches at your chosen park.

• What am I buying?

You are buying your holiday home to own outright. You will not own the land that it is sited on. You will be granted a license for a minimum of 5 years and up to 20 years dependent on the age and condition of the caravan or Lodge. After this period, your holiday home agreement will be reviewed on an annual basis.

• How long will it take to complete a purchase?

We aim to have everything complete within an average of 14 days. This can vary depending on park selected and location of the holiday home. We will always keep you updated if this will be the case.

• Can we buy our holiday home as a family or a group?

Yes, you can, but we can only register two names to the ownership of the Caravan.

• Can I get finance on my new holiday home?

  The simple answer is YES!

We have a choice of finance options available, using a number of recommended finance providers. The good news is that finance is available on all of our holiday homes for sale, regardless of its age!

Finance is as always, subject to credit and affordability checks* These checks are carried out by the finance provider, with whom your finance agreement would be held with.

• Do you accept part exchanges?

  YES!

You can upgrade your current holiday home, and use it as part exchange against your new holiday home. An appraisal will need to be carried out, prior to a part exchange price being agreed.

We also take touring caravans as part exchange for holiday home purchases on any of the Coastfields holiday parks.

• What other costs are involved with owning a holiday home?

You will need to pay your yearly site fees. These vary depending on the park and plot you choose. You will also have to pay for your electricity, gas and water (park depending) and yearly insurance, along with any gas safe, and electric compliance tests required by law, legislation, or your park rules.

• Do we have to pay insurance?

Yes, it is a condition of your licence agreement that you must obtain valid holiday home insurance at all times.

• Can I use the facilities on the park or at other sites within Coastfields?

Yes, you can. You will have 8 membership passes available to use for yourself and friends/family. These cannot be given to guests if you let out your holiday home. Separate passes are available to purchase.

• Am I able to live permanently on park in my holiday home?

No. We are a holiday park and not a residential park.

• Is there parking available?

Yes. There is parking available at all our parks. Some of our pitches also come with dedicated parking spaces next to your holiday home.

• Are dogs allowed on site?

Yes, they are. We are a dog friendly company and allow them on all our sites. The only dogs we do not allow on site are those listed as a dangerous dog breed. We ask that they are kept on a lead and the total number allowed is two per holiday home.

• Do we have to pay council tax?

No, as your holiday Home should not be your permanent residence.

• Can we sell our holiday home ourselves?

Yes, you can if your holiday home is under 10 years old. We ask that you liaise with your sales team as there are guidelines to follow as laid out in your Terms and Conditions.

• Can I sublet my holiday home?

Subletting is allowed on some of our parks.

Our exclusive 'Let Coastfields' Sublet Scheme is a great option to maximise your earning potential, subject to your holiday home meeting certain criteria. Please contact our sales team for more information or click here to read more.

• Do holiday homes come with a warranty?

All new holiday homes will come with a manufacturers warranty. The length and what is covered is different between manufacturers. Used holiday homes come with the remainder of manufacturers warranty or a limited one provided by us, whichever is longer.

• What are the benefits of holiday home ownership compared with booking holidays each year?

Owning a holiday home gives you the freedom to enjoy breaks whenever you choose, without the hassle of searching for accommodation or paying peak-season holiday prices.

Instead of booking a different holiday each year, you'll have your own home-from-home waiting for you whenever you want to escape. Whether it's a weekend by the coast, a spontaneous midweek break, or an extended family holiday, your holiday home is ready whenever you are.

Some of the key benefits include:

  ·        Holiday whenever you like during the open season, with no need to book accommodation in advance.

  ·        Create lasting family memories by returning to a place you know and love.

  ·        Leave your belongings behind, so there's less packing and more time to relax.

  ·        Enjoy your favourite park facilities, including entertainment, swimming pools, fishing lakes, golf, restaurants, and beaches, depending on your chosen park.

  ·        Bring family and friends, making it easy to share your holiday home with the people who matter most.

  ·        Choose from 13 unique Coastfields parks, each offering its own atmosphere and lifestyle.

  ·        Potential to offset some running costs through our optional Let Coastfields subletting scheme (subject to eligibility and terms and conditions).

For many owners, it's not just about taking holidays—it's about enjoying a flexible lifestyle with a place that's always ready to welcome you back.

• Why do people buy holiday homes?

People buy holiday homes for many reasons, but one of the biggest benefits is having a familiar place to escape to whenever it suits them. Instead of planning and booking every break, holiday home owners can enjoy spontaneous weekends away, longer family holidays and regular visits throughout the season.

Owning a holiday home also gives you your own space where you can leave belongings between visits and make the accommodation feel like a true home from home. For many owners, it becomes a place to relax, spend more time with family and friends, and enjoy a favourite part of the country more often.

At Coastfields, our holiday parks across the Lincolnshire Coast offer a choice of locations and lifestyles, from lively family parks close to the beach and attractions to quieter countryside settings.

• Why choose the Lincolnshire Coast?

The Lincolnshire Coast offers a combination of sandy beaches, traditional seaside resorts, family attractions and quieter countryside, making it a popular destination for holiday home ownership.

Popular locations including Skegness, Ingoldmells, Chapel St Leonards and Mablethorpe offer everything from beaches, entertainment and family attractions to walking, fishing, golf and places to eat and drink. There are also quieter areas where owners can enjoy a more relaxed pace while remaining within easy reach of the coast.

For people living across Lincolnshire, the Midlands and surrounding areas, owning a holiday home on the Lincolnshire Coast can also make regular short breaks and weekends away more practical than travelling to destinations further afield.

• Is a holiday home a good investment?

A holiday home can be a valuable investment in your lifestyle, giving you a place to enjoy regular breaks and quality time with family and friends. However, a holiday home should not generally be considered a financial investment in the same way as a house or other residential property, as holiday homes can depreciate in value over time.

When considering holiday home ownership, it is important to take into account the purchase price, annual site fees, utilities, insurance and other running costs. For many owners, the real return comes from being able to enjoy frequent holidays and spontaneous breaks in a place of their own.

Our team can explain the costs associated with owning a holiday home at Coastfields so you can decide whether ownership is right for you

• What makes Coastfields different?

Coastfields has been helping families enjoy holidays and holiday home ownership on the Lincolnshire Coast for generations. One of the biggest advantages of choosing Coastfields is the variety of locations available, allowing buyers to choose a holiday park that suits the way they want to spend their leisure time.

Our parks include locations close to the beaches and attractions of Skegness and Ingoldmells, peaceful countryside settings, golf and fishing locations, and parks around Mablethorpe and the surrounding Lincolnshire Coast.

We also offer a wide selection of new and pre-owned static caravans and luxury lodges across different budgets. Our experienced holiday home sales team can help you compare parks, locations and holiday homes to find an option that suits your needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach to ownership.

• Can I work remotely from my holiday home?

Yes, where suitable internet connectivity is available, a holiday home can be a great place to work remotely while enjoying a change of surroundings. This can make it possible to extend a weekend away, spend longer periods at your holiday home or combine work with time on the Lincolnshire Coast.

Wi-Fi availability, speeds and connectivity can vary between parks and locations, so if working remotely is important to you, speak to our team about the facilities available at your preferred Coastfields holiday park.

It is also important to remember that a holiday home is for holiday and recreational use and cannot be used as your permanent residential address.

• I have £20,000. Which holiday park should I buy a caravan on?

With a budget of around £20,000, a pre-owned static caravan can be a good starting point for holiday home ownership on the Lincolnshire Coast. The best Coastfields park for you will depend on the holiday homes currently available, annual site fees and the type of location you prefer.

If being close to the beach, entertainment and traditional seaside attractions is important, consider our parks around Skegness, Ingoldmells and the Lincolnshire Coast. If you would prefer a quieter setting, we also have countryside and more peaceful park locations.

Our available holiday homes change regularly, so rather than choosing a park based on purchase price alone, we recommend comparing the total cost of ownership, location, facilities and how you intend to use your holiday home.

• I'm retired. Which Coastfields park would suit me?

The best Coastfields holiday park for retirement depends on the lifestyle you are looking for. If you prefer peace and quiet, fishing, countryside surroundings or a more relaxed atmosphere, parks such as The Grange Leisure Park, Addlethorpe Golf & Country Park, Skegness Fields and some of our smaller park locations may be worth considering.

If you enjoy being closer to shops, beaches, restaurants and entertainment, one of our parks around Skegness or Ingoldmells may be more suitable.

Our sales team can help you compare locations based on the things that matter most to you, including park facilities, accessibility, proximity to the coast and local amenities.

Please remember that Coastfields holiday homes are intended for holiday and recreational use and cannot be used as your permanent residential address.

• We have two young children. Which Coastfields park is best?

For families with young children, Coastfields Holiday Village in Ingoldmells is one of our most popular options. The park offers family-friendly facilities and entertainment and is conveniently located for the beach and many of the attractions that make the Lincolnshire Coast popular with families.

Its location also puts you close to the attractions of Ingoldmells and within easy reach of Skegness, giving families plenty of options for days out.

However, some families prefer a quieter holiday park where they can relax away from the busiest resorts. Coastfields operates a variety of parks across the Lincolnshire Coast, so our team can help you find the right balance between children's facilities, location, entertainment and a more peaceful environment.

• I love fishing. Which Coastfields holiday park should I choose?

If fishing is an important part of your ideal holiday, The Grange Leisure Park near Mablethorpe is an excellent place to consider. Its countryside setting and fishing lakes make it particularly attractive to holiday home owners who enjoy spending time outdoors and relaxing by the water.

Roach Farm Holiday Park in Skegness is another option for those looking for a quieter setting with fishing available.

The right holiday home will then depend on your budget and requirements. You might prefer an affordable pre-owned static caravan as a comfortable base for fishing breaks or a larger, modern holiday home or lodge with decking where you can relax outdoors after a day beside the lake.

• I want a quiet holiday park but still want to be near the beach. Where should I look?

You don't necessarily have to choose between a peaceful holiday park and easy access to the Lincolnshire Coast. Coastfields has several locations that provide a quieter base while keeping beaches, seaside towns and local attractions within easy reach.

Parks such as Skegness Fields and Addlethorpe Golf & Country Park offer a more relaxed countryside setting while remaining within driving distance of Skegness, Ingoldmells and the coast.

Other Coastfields locations provide different combinations of countryside, coast and nearby amenities, so it is worth comparing parks based on how close you want to be to the beach and how peaceful you want your surroundings to be.

• Which caravan is best for first-time holiday home buyers?

For many first-time buyers, a good-quality pre-owned static caravan with two or three bedrooms can be an excellent introduction to holiday home ownership. It can offer a lower initial purchase price while still providing everything needed for regular weekends and holidays on the Lincolnshire Coast.

Rather than choosing a holiday home based purely on its purchase price, first-time buyers should consider its age, condition, size, number of bedrooms, location, annual site fees and likely running costs.

It is also worth thinking about how you expect to use your holiday home in the future. A couple may be comfortable in a two-bedroom model, while families or owners expecting regular guests may benefit from three bedrooms.

Coastfields offers new and pre-owned static caravans and lodges across a range of Lincolnshire holiday parks, allowing first-time buyers to compare different budgets, locations and styles of holiday home before making a decision.
